Coaching Programmes for Managers
All cfa consultants work as coaches as part of their day to day activities. Coaching is integral to our work and our beliefs that effectiveness is enhanced by drawing the best from others. Our clients are looking to maximise their people's potential and look towards building the coaching capabilities of both managers and technical staff to enable this to happen. We provide a range of interventions to assist this process ranging from general coaching programmes to specifically tailored events. Included in our work in this field are coaching skills programmes for groups of people looking to increase their current capabilities, specifically designed and delivered for
- A experienced group of regional operations directors, attempting to create a coaching culture.
- A masterclass, for an experienced Learning and development team.
- A leading corporate insurer embedding a more inclusive, developmental style into their culture A major telecommunications and cable company adapting its management style
- A consortium of small and medium size organisations offering a strong series of central programmes for its members
- A Life Assurance company changing and expanding the roles of many of the staff
- A management team who wanted a modular approach to developing their collective coaching capabilities over a number of months
Most clients possess a vast array of technical competencies and knowledge. The coaching work concentrates on increasing the individuals overall contribution, through helping them to make adjustments to the way they utilise this expertise. Typically psychometric tools and/or 360-degree feedback tools are used to obtain a compelling picture of the person's current preferences and approach. A series of meetings over an agreed timescale, providing additional input and expertise and a review process provide a format for short-term adaptation and longer-term sustainable success.
We use an eclectic approach borrowing tools, techniques and approaches from a range of sources gained through a variety of experiences, built upon a solid base of qualifications, to provide appropriate outcomes for each client. We use models and frameworks from proven approaches developed over the years allied to newer approoaches such as NLP, Appreciative Inquiry and Dan Goleman's powerful 'emotional intelligence' work. We have accreditations for the associated emotional competence inventory, along of course with the widely used tools such as Myers Briggs and FIRO B.
